My wife gave me the day off from watching Paxton so I could work on pottery! Not happy with some other mugs I had made earlier, I threw some more mugs and added in some bowls for kicks.
Bowls upside down to dry. There are a lot of fun things happening with this batch! |
Mugs freshly handled. Want to see how? Watch here. |
This bowl has some interesting marks. Can’t wait to see it finished! |
Hi there, I landed here from
http://community.ceramicartsdaily.org/topic/1985-homemade-trimming-tools/ and get
“Sorry, the page you were looking for in this blog does not exist”
Is that information stored some place else? Interested in the homemade trimming tools.
The pics on the ceramicsdaily community page also don’t show.
Thanks
Hi sosolobi!
Unfortunately those pictures and instructions were on my old website. I changed over to a free blog-based site when hosting began costing too much. I will try to get some pictures up of those trimming tools for you in a post soon. The material I used was metal strapping found on shipping crates. I have since kept looking for the material however I have only come across plastic strapping, which won’t work. An alternative would be to use a hacksaw blade.
